The Salopian Mixtape is brought to you by Michaela Wylde and Simon Berry.
These two are music enthusiasts who have been involved in assisting the
development of shropshire's musicians for years. Now they look to take this
even further with The Salopian Mixtape.
Michaela Wylde studied music at Bangor university, followed by a
postgraduate degree in Music Education.
She became a professional musician and a songwriter in 2011. After releasing two original albums, Michaela began working with the BBC,, championing music from shropshire since 2019.
Michaela has a real love for all kinds of music and a passion for supporting the original greatness coming out of Shropshire.
Simon berry studied a degree in radio production at Glyndwr University and cut his radio teeth at Calon fm.
He began working at the bbc over 10 years ago and has a wealth of experience in producing and presenting programmes.
Not only is he used to a live radio setting, but has co-created a number of comedy podcasts over the years, and also had a 4-part comedy series on BBC Radio 4
Simon loves music and can often be found in the mosh pit.
